Meet The Director
Liana Palmerio-McIvor

Life can be difficult, and reaching out for support — whether as a client or a supervisee — is an act of courage and strength. Being willing to seek help reflects a commitment to growth, self-awareness, and change, reminding us that we are always learning and evolving.
In practice since 1994, Liana has built a diverse and well-established clinical career. She began working with adolescents and families, facilitating family mediations and treating stress and anxiety disorders. Over time, her practice expanded to include work with panic and crisis situations, trauma, bipolar disorder, depression, sex therapy, menopause coaching, relationship and marital concerns, intimacy issues, and self-esteem development.
Liana holds a degree in Psychology from McMaster University and completed graduate-level training in Clinical Techniques of Counselling. She has earned an intensive Sex Therapy Certification from the University of Guelph and holds advanced certification in Critical Incident Stress Management. Since 2006, she has also completed professional clinical training practicums in sex medicine at Women's College Hospital in Toronto.
Liana is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, a Certified Psychotherapist with the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals, and a Validated Clinical Supervisor.
Customer Service is a key concern for this Director and The Wellness Counselling Group, something she thinks has been forgotten in the field of Mental Wellness as a priority.
Contact her directly at info@wellnesscounselling.com. She would be happy to answer any questions you may have about her clinic and its services.
