Associate - Liana Palmerio-McIvor

Liana Palmerio-McIvor

Liana Palmerio-McIvor is a psychotherapist who had been in practice since 1994, specializing in children / teenagers, family mediation, and anxiety disorders. She holds a degree in psychology from McMaster University and a graduate diploma in the Clinical Techniques of Counselling as well as Sex Therapy Certification from Guelph University. Liana has also pursued professional clinical training in sex medicine with a Clinical Practicum Group located at Women’s College Hospital (Toronto). Her expertise includes anxiety, panic and depression, sexual disorders, marital issue, womens issues and self-esteem enhancement.

Associate - Ross Johnson

Ross Johnson

Ross Johnson is a couples and family therapist, he assists clients to change dysfunctional behaviour patterns, resolve conflict and become more open and caring. He also counsels in the field of grief and bereavement, sexual abuse and children's issues. He is approved by Health Canada to provide psychotherapy to status First Nations People.

Sanet Burger, D.Ed.

Sanet specializes in emotional, learning, social and behavioural difficulties of childhood and adolescence, including ADHD, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, stress, worries, self-Injury behaviour, anger, including parenting and family intervention and Career Counselling.

Associate - Diane Bekeris

Diane Bekeris

Diane applies her Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology in her work with individuals, couples, and families. She uses an integrated approach to therapy that allows flexibility for the client's unique needs, issue, and situation. Diane has a broad range of counselling expertise, assisting her clients with a diversity of concerns including abuse, anxiety, depression, gender issues, grief, parenting, separation/divorce, and stress management. In addition, training in rehabilitation counselling has given Diane experience in helping clients address trauma and chronic pain concerns.

Associate - Dick O'Brien

Dick O'Brien

Dick O'Brien is a professional speaker and consultant in Human Relations. For the past 20 years he has been assisting corporations, school boars and police departments with issues of stress, wellness, counselling and resiliency. He is available for wellness and stress management training, F.I.T. (focused individual training) as well as CISD situations.

Associate - Paul McIvor

Paul McIvor

For the past decade Paul has counseled prison inmates in Canada and the United States, helping them practice mindfulness in the most challenging circumstances and still get the most from the present moment. He currently co-leads a meditation program for prisoners at Maplehurst Correctional Complex, building on his training in the Zen tradition. His focus is on simplicity and being present in the moment. Paul is also a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Toronto and the University of Guelph at Humber. He also speaks often at conferences and for corporate clients. Paul has a BA from the University of Toronto and an MA in Religious Studies from the University of South Africa.

Associate - Jane Newlands

Jane Newlands

Jane is a highly committed professional and parent of three grown children. With a background in education and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Jane is an empathetic and highly intuitive listener. Her well developed teaching and counselling skills provide a warm and secure environment for families, couples and individuals. Healing is central to her practice, believing there is a creative beauty in all of us. She incorporates her Adlerian training which incorporates a Cognitive/Behavioural approach to engage in a creative process of self-discovery and growth. Using these skills and art therapy, she worked as a member of a psychology team in a trauma clinic at Homewood in Guelph. Jane has recently studied Mindfulness Meditation at the Centre for Mindfulness in Oakville and completed a year long course in Mindfulness Meditation for Practitioners. She is presently leading beginner meditation classes at her Oakville office for stress and anxiety reduction and personal growth. Jane is a member of the O.A.C.C.P.P.

Patrice MacKenzie

Patrice MacKenzie, author of “Smart Mouth! Helping You to Communicate Better” practices counselling in Oakville . Patrice has been providing Social Work and Counselling services for over 30 years and is committed to providing a totally unique service of integrated health care and disease prevention through a combination of therapeutic technique and complimentary health care modalities. Patrice has a Masters of Education degree in Counselling (M.S. Ed.) and is also a Certified Natural Health Care Practitioner (C.N.H.P.). She is a member of the Ontario Association of Counsellors, Consultants, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists, a past adjunct professor at Niagara University, a past practicum supervisor for Michigan State University, past Professor at Humber College and the past coordinator and manager of the Ontario Government’s Employee Assistance Program.

Associate - Kathryn Burton

Kathryn Burton

Kathryn is a Registered Couple & Family Therapist, with a background in Nursing, and Social Work. She has over 25 years experience, working with individuals, couples, families, & groups, in Hamilton, Oakville, Peel, and Burlington, where she maintains a Private Practice, at 2349 Fairview. Kathryn specializes in working with couples (communication, conflict, infidelity, intimacy, pre-marriage counselling, separation counselling), and clients who are stressed in toxic work situations. Her experience as Chief Steward, and training in Restorative Yoga, help her provide effective, safe, understanding care, for clients challenged in the workplace. Individual counselling for personal growth is offered for : Addictions, Grief/Loss, Parenting concerns, Singles, Self-esteem,Co-dependency, Adult ADD,and your unique issues. A 3-session hypnosis treatment program is available for: anxiety, smoking cessation, and weight loss. Clients struggling with chronic pain or physical illness are helped through counselling, and may also want instruction in supported, restorative yoga, and/or music and meditation. Susan McKean

Susan McKean has her Masters of Education degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto. She is certified as a Solution-Focused Practitioner by the Canadian Society of Counsellors and Therapists. Susan is a successful professional needs-based counsellor/therapist, sensitive to diversity and ethnic differences. Using cognitive-behavioural principles, she will focus on your values and core beliefs to facilitate the discovery of your strengths thereby empowering you to make good choices and change what’s not working.

Associate - Stephen Douglas

Stephen Douglas

Stephen Douglas has provided healing and support for individuals, couples, and families for twenty years as a family counsellor and psychotherapist in private practice.

In addition to traditional forms of psychotherapy, including Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Relational and Satir Family Systems, Stephen has integrated indigenous teachings concerning mental health and holistic well-being into his practice. Stephen works with famlies, couples and individuals with a special interest in working with mens issues.

Manon Dulude

Manon Dulude has over twenty-five years of solid and extensive experience as counsellor and as a personal and professional coach. Manon has worked with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, grief and major life transition. As a Coach, Manon has worked with senior executives and key officials in the financial sector, government sector, hotel industry, crown corporations, and the non-profit sector.

Manon has developed curriculum and delivered training programs to many organizations in the areas of leadership and team development, collaborative conflict resolution, effective communication, transition/change management, wellness, time and stress management, and organizational culture transition.
